Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India , Kashmir Apiary Exports and Lee Bee International Institute of Beekeeping at Doraha , Ludhiana, Punjab, India jointly plan to hold an International Beekeeping Conference in a five star hotel in New Delhi during February, 2009 (Exact dates to be circulated in first announcement). Main objective of this conference besides scientific and technical programme is to provide opportunity to the beekeepers from different countries to exchange beekeeping experiences and knowledge amongst themselves and to learn from each others success stories and failures on all aspects of practical beekeeping.

This conference is also aimed at helping beekeepers from developing countries as they can not afford to participate in APIMONDIA like conferences to learn from the vast and rich experiences on advanced mellifera beekeeping in industrialized countries. Beekeeping with exotic A mellifera is now the basis of flourishing beekeeping industry especially in south and south east Asia and has become very important because of its continuing decline in industrialized countries. We also plan to hold post conference tours for the interested participants to enjoy the rich cultural and natural heritage for which India is famous all over world.

Registration fee for this conference will be 350 USD and hotel accommodation in a decent hotel would vary from 125. to 250 US D per night.

Since your organization is a nodal agency for coordinating beekeeping activities and programmes.in your country, We are therefore requesting you to kindly act as a facilitators of this conference by giving a wide publicity to this conference and extend invitations to fellow beekeepers on our behalf for participating in this proposed conference.
